Quay Ranch - Tucumcari, NM

Quay Ranch is a 580 acre ranch north of Tucumcari, NM. In 2019 and 2020, we deplanted a highly biodiverse poly-culture as part of a CBD hemp growing operation on ten acres of former alfalfa field. Through plant biodiversity, microbial inoculations, and no-till farming, we were able to triple the soil organic matter and create a robust, abundant ecosystem.

In partnership with Ecotone Landscape Planning LLC, the New Mexico Healthy Soil Working Group, Southwest Grassfed Livestock Alliance, and Seeding Regenerative Agriculture, we have received grants from the USDA Healthy Soil Act Pilot Grant and the New Mexico Foundation Permaculture Fund to hold educational workshops at Quay Ranch. These workshops have covered topics such as soil health, rangeland erosion mitigation, and rotational grazing.
